Product51 (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates productfiftyone.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it. By using Product51, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in via GitHub or Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, username, and profile picture from that provider. We store this to create and identify your account.

Content you submit

Product submissions, comments, votes, and any other content you post on the platform are stored and associated with your account.

Usage data

We use Umami Analytics — a privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics tool — to understand how people use the site. No personal identifiers are collected. Page views and referrers are recorded in aggregate only.

How we use your information

  • +To create and manage your account
  • +To display your profile, submissions, and activity on the platform
  • +To send transactional emails (e.g. product approval notifications) via Resend
  • +To detect and prevent spam, abuse, and violations of our community guidelines
  • +To improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns

Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Supabase, a hosted Postgres database with row-level security enabled. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. We do not sell your data to third parties. Access to production data is restricted to the Product51 team.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

  • SupabaseDatabase, authentication, and file storage
  • VercelHosting and deployment
  • ResendTransactional email delivery
  • Umami AnalyticsPrivacy-preserving, cookieless analytics
  • GitHub / Google OAuthThird-party sign-in

Cookies

We use only session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookie scripts. Analytics are handled without cookies via Umami.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export your submitted content

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised date. Continued use of Product51 after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
